Canada Sanctions 13 Russians and 11 Russian Entities

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and the Canadian government website, Anita Anand, Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced today that Canada is imposing additional sanctions on Moscow.
The Canadian government statement claims these new measures aim to target Russia’s energy revenues and financial suppliers. The goal is to increase the economic costs for Russia due to its unjustified invasion of ukraine while also weakening Moscow’s conventional and hybrid military capabilities.
The statement adds that these sanctions include 13 individuals and 11 entities, among them several organizations involved in developing and deploying Russia’s drone program. Canada continues to lead efforts in targeting military technologies upon which Russia depends in its attempts to gain an advantage on the battlefield against Ukraine.
