Guterres: Foreign Weapons and Militias Escalate Sudan Crisis

According to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency,United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the situation in Sudan as catastrophic for civilians amid expanding conflict and no real signs of a halt to military operations.
He added that the continued flow of weapons and militias into Sudan from external actors is intensifying the crisis and prolonging the duration of fighting.
Separately, Mahmoud Ali yusuf, Chairperson of the African Commission, stated that Sudan’s situation has reached a dangerously fragile point of collapse, with insufficient international attention paid to the suffering population.
He further noted that Sudan’s crisis ranks among Africa’s most severe and complex conflicts, with disaster dimensions far surpassing what is portrayed in media coverage.
