Qatar Strongly Condemns Netanyahu’s Presence on Syrian Soil

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned Israel’s attack on the Palestinian refugee camp in Ain al-Hilweh, Lebanon. The assault on this camp represents a brutal attack on defenseless Palestinians and violates Lebanon’s sovereignty.
The Doha statement further condemned the savage attacks by Israeli forces on the Gaza Strip that resulted in multiple civilian casualties. It described these assaults as dangerously escalating tensions and threatening the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Qatar emphasized the urgent need for coordinated regional and international efforts to uphold the ceasefire, end hostilities, and achieve a just peace.
The ministry also strongly denounced the visit of Israel’s Prime minister and several other officials to Syrian territory. It labeled this incursion as a blatant violation of Syria’s sovereignty, a clear breach of international law, and a serious threat to regional stability.
Qatar called upon the international community to take immediate action against Israel by compelling compliance with relevant UN resolutions-particularly Resolution 1974-and enforcing adherence to the ceasefire agreements. It urged measures to halt repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian soil and prevent further escalation in an already tense region.
Previously, Syria’s foreign Ministry issued a formal statement condemning Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to southern Syria. They described it as a hazardous violation of syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ministry characterized this move as an unacceptable provocation that escalates tensions. It further accused Israel of exploiting regional circumstances to strengthen its illegal military presence in southern Syria.
