Japanese Newspaper Admits Defeat of U.S. and Zionist Regime in 12-Day War

A Japanese newspaper acknowledged the ‌failure of the ‍US and Israeli plan against Iran during the 12-day imposed war, stating ⁣that Tehran now holds the⁤ initiative.

The widely circulated Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun,in a report titled “The 12-Day War by Israel and the US Against Tehran Had No Winner; Iran’s Nuclear Program Continues,” noted that⁢ nearly ten years have passed ⁢since the JCPOA agreement, which has effectively collapsed.

The paper referred to attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran during ‌this imposed ⁣12-day ⁣war. It added that ⁣even though ⁣Iran suffered damage,⁣ the conflict also demonstrated Tehran’s resilience.

Quoting Takuya Morokami, senior researcher at the West Asia Strategic Studies Institute,Yomiuri Shimbun wrote that dismantling iran’s nuclear capability goes beyond destroying atomic facilities.Even if ⁣all enrichment centrifuges‌ were destroyed, as long as Iran retains production capacity, it can rebuild them. Additionally, enriched uranium reserves had been relocated before any attacks.Fundamentally then, Iran’s nuclear capability remains intact.

Morokami also highlighted how Iran ⁣swiftly replaced military commanders and officials after their casualties. he noted that Iranian ground forces largely remained intact and its system is structured to quickly fill leadership gaps to ‍prevent command paralysis.

The report cited Richard Haass, former chairman of America’s Council on‍ Foreign Relations (CFR), who wrote in Yomiuri’s ⁣autumn issue: “Iran currently holds the initiative in West Asia’s ⁤crisis.”⁣ While israel launched phases ‌of attack followed by US action-both initially taking control-the current momentum lies with Iran.

Haass added efforts to eliminate Iran’s nuclear sites likely failed and‌ suggested overthrowing its regime would be difficult.

The American analyst also assessed potential Iranian responses not yet used in conflict:⁣ “Iran⁣ is unlikely to disrupt maritime shipping;‌ instead it is expected to focus on strengthening ⁣internal structures.”

The article mentioned⁣ Tehran’s cooperation with ⁤international bodies and ‍even negotiations with Washington aimed at resolving bilateral issues. It recalled how President Trump withdrew ‍unilaterally from the agreement in 2018; after one year following this⁤ move, Iran suspended its commitments. The UK, Germany & France reactivated UN sanctions ahead of schedule summer 2025-and ‍thus after ten years-the JCPOA framework fell ⁢apart.

The Japanese newspaper dismissed prospects for US-Israeli‌ objectives aiming at regime change inside Iran: such attacks received no popular support within Iranian society.

Citing ‌Kazuto Suzuki-a University of Tokyo professor and former member of UN Security Council’s Iranian sanctions committee-it reported his view: “If⁣ America had ‍not left the nuclear deal, a ⁣different‍ future might have unfolded. That withdrawal threw everything⁢ off course. In any⁤ case negotiations must resume; ⁤a deal resembling JCPOA must be rebuilt or else this issue will never ‌resolve.”

the media source further observed growing ⁤resistance morale inside Iran post these US-Israeli impositions quoting Iranians saying: “If we are targeted while trying to ‌negotiate why should we negotiate?”
