Russia Accuses UK of Profiting from Ukraine War

Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service accuses the UK government of profiting from arms sales to Ukraine.

The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service stated in ⁤a report that London seeks to prolong the conflict in Ukraine because ⁢revenues from the ‍war play a crucial role in‍ preventing the collapse of the British economy, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS.

The agency alleges that London has earned⁣ more than $6 billion solely from selling drones to Kyiv.

The statement from this Russian security body adds ⁢that defense companies, ‍which previously faced serious financial difficulties,‍ have now become engines driving the UK economy by signing multi-billion-dollar contracts to produce military equipment needed ‍by Ukraine.

The Foreign ‍Intelligence Service further noted it is indeed unlikely ⁤that the British will repeat their past mistakes, suggesting developments on the ground in Ukraine will force them to seek alternative revenue sources rather of relying on “war profits.”

Meanwhile, former U.S. President donald Trump’s⁢ administration proposed a 28-point plan ‌aimed at ending the Russia-Ukraine war. Under this plan, Kyiv would surrender part of its territory to Moscow in exchange for security guarantees and agree to limit its ⁣military ‍capabilities.

The European Union and other Ukrainian allies have reacted negatively to this U.S.proposal, calling it an implementation of Russia’s demands. The white House has responded by stating that Trump’s plan reflects both parties’ interests and⁢ ensures their security needs are met.
