according to the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today,Turkish media reported an explosion aboard the oil tanker Kairos in the Black Sea.
The reports suggest the explosion was likely caused by the vessel striking a naval mine. Turkish sources emphasized that there is a risk of the tanker sinking.
Rescue teams have been dispatched to evacuate 25 crew members from the ship.
The Gambia-flagged tanker was travelling without cargo when it suffered damage 83 kilometers from Istanbul’s Bosphorus Strait.
