TRT: Regional Stability to Dominate Sunday’s Fidan Talks in Tehran

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency, TRT reported that Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s Foreign Minister, will travel to Tehran on Sunday, November 30, to meet with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and other senior Iranian officials.
The visit aims to enhance cooperation within the framework of the Turkey-Iran High-Level Cooperation Council. they will discuss preparations for convening its ninth meeting and advancing collaboration in security and counterterrorism efforts.
Fidan will also hold talks with Iranian officials about accelerating development of border trade infrastructure and achieving their shared goal of increasing bilateral trade volume to $30 billion.
TRT noted that regional stability will be a key topic during negotiations. Fidan is expected to emphasize the importance of dialog with Tehran regarding Gaza, Syria, Israeli actions in the region, and peaceful resolution of Iran’s nuclear program issues.
The report adds that Ukraine’s war,developments in the South Caucasus,and tensions between pakistan and Afghanistan are among other subjects on Fidan’s agenda in Tehran.
TRT pointed out that this visit comes amid ongoing high-level bilateral engagements between Turkey and Iran. The last meeting of their High-Level Cooperation Council took place in January 2024. bilateral trade reached $6.5 billion by October 2025.
