Trump Urges Netanyahu to Change Approach in Gaza and Syria

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Donald Trump has reportedly asked Benjamin Netanyahu to reconsider his approaches to Gaza and Syria. Citing Israeli and American officials, Axios reported that Trump emphasized the need for Netanyahu to be a “better partner” in implementing the Gaza peace agreement during a phone call.
Trump also advised Netanyahu to “keep it simple” regarding military operations in Syria and to avoid provoking the Syrian government, the report stated. In response to Trump’s inquiry about the rationale behind killing Hamas fighters in Rafah, Netanyahu claimed that those individuals were “armed and dangerous.”
Earlier reports from Channel 12, citing an American official, indicated that Washington had expressed concerns and warnings to Netanyahu regarding Tel Aviv’s aggression against Syria. This official asserted that the United States is not supportive of Israel’s attacks on Syria and cautioned that Netanyahu’s actions could turn the Syrian regime into an enemy of Tel Aviv.
The American official stated that the situation in Syria is different from that in Lebanon, but Netanyahu views all situations similarly. The U.S. has conveyed to Tel Aviv that this pattern must cease.
