Trump Urges Iraqi President to Support a Better Future Amidst Middle East Tensions

Former U.S. President Donald Trump sent a message to Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid in November, urging continued support for ensuring a better future for citizens of both countries and the world. The message was conveyed during a meeting between Rashid and the U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Iraqi Presidency’s media office released a statement announcing President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid’s meeting with the U.S. Embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Baghdad on Thursday.

During the meeting, discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States across various sectors, as well as the latest regional and global developments.

Rashid acknowledged a message received in November from former U.S. President Donald Trump, in which Trump called upon the Iraqi President to sustain his support for securing a brighter future for the citizens of both nations and the international community.

In his message, Trump asserted his ambition to end centuries of conflict in the Middle East, without addressing his own history of instigating conflicts worldwide. He expressed hope that the international community could overcome long-standing disputes to save lives in every region and continent.

Rashid emphasized his belief that all conflicts can and should be resolved through dialogue rather than violence.
