Qatari PM: Complete Israeli Withdrawal Essential for Gaza Ceasefire

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani addressed the critical need for accountability and just solutions to prevent international peace and security threats.
He highlighted that the world is witnessing unprecedented crisis escalation due to a lack of accountability and the continuation of conflicts without equitable resolutions.
Al Thani asserted that sustainable peace stems solely from just solutions, preventing further conflict and division. He emphasized that the absence of accountability is a dangerous indicator of dysfunction within the international system, particularly evident in the region.
The Foreign Minister noted the suffering of the Palestinian people and the ongoing tragedies in Sudan, stating that achieving justice and upholding rights are essential for maintaining regional stability and preventing its collapse.
He added that the challenges facing the region are linked to a decline in respect for international laws and the excessive use of force. He called for restoring faith in the rule of law, establishing a fairer international system, and empowering humanitarian organizations and communities.
Al Thani stressed that lasting peace requires collaborative efforts centered on human dignity, not just superficial decisions.
He affirmed Qatar’s commitment to active mediation as a cornerstone of its foreign policy, emphasizing the importance of maintaining open communication channels to resolve conflicts impartially and insisting on continued dialogue and positive outcomes.
Regarding the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman stated that a comprehensive ceasefire is unattainable without the complete withdrawal of Zionist forces and the restoration of stability. He noted that mediators are collaborating on the next phase of the ceasefire, with Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt working alongside the United States to chart a future course for Gaza.
