Israeli Defense Minister Katz Criticizes Military Chief Over Storm Al-Aqsa Probe

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has sharply criticized the army chief of staff, Eyal Zamir, regarding his handling of military appointments and the investigation into Operation Storm Al-Aqsa, signaling escalating internal divisions within the Israeli military.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has voiced strong criticism of Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir concerning his approach to military appointments and the military inquiry into Operation Storm Al-Aqsa.

Katz stated that he was shocked by Zamir’s decision to reprimand an officer without consulting him.

He also acknowledged his disagreements with Zamir.

Earlier, the newspaper reported a growing crisis between the Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, and other military commanders, with no resolution in sight.

The report highlights the increasing tension between the two sides, noting Katz’s inclination toward new military escalations, while military commanders emphasize the need for decisive action to prevent any war scenarios that could re-engage the regime.
