Hamas Condemns Tel Aviv’s West Bank Expansion Amid Land Confiscation
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hamas has reacted strongly to Tel Aviv’s expansionist policies in the West Bank, specifically condemning the destruction of Palestinian land.
Abdul Rahman Shadeed, a leader within the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), denounced the Israeli army’s demolition of approximately 61,000 square meters of land in the village of Marda, located north of Salfit in the West Bank. He characterized this action as a new phase in the ongoing confiscation and Judaization of land, orchestrated by what he described as Israel’s extremist cabinet, aimed at achieving total control over the West Bank.
Shadeed warned against the dangers of escalating settlement construction, emphasizing that these decisions represent a blatant assault on both the land and its people. He highlighted that the demolition operations target agricultural areas crucial for the livelihoods of hundreds of families who depend on them for their historical farming activities.
The Hamas official stated that these measures could lead to organized destruction of the local environment and economy. He affirmed that the Palestinian people will not relinquish their land or rights and will resist the ongoing oppression and crimes committed by the occupying forces.
Shadeed called upon official institutions, local organizations, and activists to intensify their efforts to counter these decisions, provide legal and on-the-ground support to those affected, and resist settlement expansion through all available means. He concluded by urging the international community to intervene immediately to halt these settlement policies and restrain what he termed the fascist occupation, which seeks to impose annexation and displacement plans by any means possible.
