China Rejects Foreign Interference in Taiwan Issue After US National Security Document Release
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China has firmly responded to the latest U.S. National Security Strategy, emphasizing its position on Taiwan.
Gao Jia, spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, stated that the resolution of the Taiwan question is exclusively within the purview of the Chinese people, firmly opposing any form of foreign involvement. “Taiwan is an integral part of China’s territory, and the Taiwan issue is at the core of China’s vital interests and constitutes the primary red line in Beijing-Washington relations that must not be crossed,” Gao Jia said.
The Chinese official urged the United States to adhere to the “One China” principle and honor the commitments made by its previous leaders. Gao Jia also called on Washington to refrain from aligning with separatist forces in Taiwan and to impede their military activities.
The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry underscored China’s unwavering commitment to defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
