Russian Air Defense Systems Down 38 Ukrainian Drones in Six Hours

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that its air defense systems destroyed 38 Ukrainian drones between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Moscow time on December 9.
The ministry detailed that 21 drones were shot down over the Bryansk region, seven in the Moscow region (including four approaching the capital), six in the Kaluga region, two in the Belgorod region, and two in the Tula region.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian armed forces are regularly targeting civilian areas within Russia, employing what they describe as “terrorist” methods. These methods reportedly include using attack drones, artillery, and missiles to bomb residential neighborhoods and essential civilian infrastructure.
In response, Russian forces assert that their actions are solely directed at Ukrainian military infrastructure. This includes facilities within the military-industrial complex, storage and repair sites, military equipment production facilities, and locations where Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries are stationed.
