US Sanctions International Criminal Court Judges Over Israel Probe
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. State Department announced sanctions against two International Criminal Court judges in response to what it described as the ICC’s illegitimate focus on Israel.
Senator Marco Rubio stated that the International Criminal Court is pursuing politically motivated actions against Israel, setting a dangerous precedent for all nations. He added, the U.S. will not tolerate the ICC abusing its authority by unjustly targeting Americans and Israelis.
The U.S. Secretary of State warned of significant and tangible responses to the ICC’s actions and transgressions, dismissing the legal standing of the International Criminal Court.
The International Criminal Court has strongly condemned the new U.S. sanctions against its judges, rejecting the measures.
