Turkish and Azerbaijani Oil Tankers Collide Near Istanbul

Two oil tankers flying the flags of Turkey and Azerbaijan collided near the Küçükçekmece shores close to the Bosphorus Strait, triggering emergency alarms in the Floria region of Constantinople.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, two oil tankers registered under the flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey sent emergency signals after colliding near the Küçükçekmece shores, close to the Bosphorus Strait. The incident occurred while the vessels were anchoring, prompting immediate response from rescue teams.

The Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure confirmed the collision in a statement on Tuesday, identifying the involved tankers as the 141-meter-long KALBAJAR and the 115-meter-long ALATEPE. The accident took place near the coastal area of Istanbul, but no casualties or marine pollution have been reported so far.

Emergency alarms were activated in the Floria region of Constantinople as authorities swiftly mobilized rescue operations to assess the situation.
