Sudan Rapid Support Forces Advisor Killed in Drone Strike in Darfur

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a drone strike conducted by the Sudanese army has resulted in the death of Hamed Ali Abubakar, a security advisor to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) commander in Darfur, along with five associates. The attack targeted a field meeting of RSF commanders near Zalingei, the capital of Central Darfur state.
The RSF confirmed the killing of the high-ranking official, while Sky News Arabia had earlier reported the incident in a breaking news alert. Sudan has been embroiled in violent clashes between the national army and the paramilitary RSF since April 2023, leading to thousands of casualties and displacing millions across the country.
The prolonged conflict has devastated Sudan’s infrastructure, collapsed public services, and created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. The latest strike marks a significant escalation in the ongoing power struggle between the rival military factions.
