Syrian Democratic Forces Warn of Imminent Large-Scale Conflict in Aleppo

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have reported monitoring 80 Syrian government military vehicles in the outskirts of Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah neighborhoods in Aleppo. The SDF described the deployment of government forces in these areas as a dangerous sign, warning of escalating tensions and the potential for a major conflict.
The SDF further stated that Syrian government forces are targeting Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah with tanks and drones, leaving these neighborhoods fully encircled. Recent assaults on these areas have resulted in seven fatalities and 52 injuries.
Earlier, the operational command of the Syrian regime’s Joulani Army urged civilians in Sheikh Maqsoud and Al-Ashrafiyah to immediately distance themselves from positions held by the SDF, accusing the group of escalating tensions and committing massacres against civilians. The Joulani Army has declared these neighborhoods as closed military zones since 3 PM today.
Amid these threats, a wave of civilian evacuations from Aleppo to other regions has intensified. The Aleppo Civil Defense has confirmed evacuating families from certain neighborhoods in the city.
Meanwhile, the SANA news agency reported that clashes have resumed around Al-Ashrafiyah and Sheikh Maqsoud. The Joulani Army’s operational command has designated all SDF military positions in these areas as legitimate targets, announcing the start of military operations after 3 PM.
