Washington Proposes Moscow and Kyiv Avoid Long-Range Capabilities Amid Ongoing Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Washington has proposed during recent negotiations that both Moscow and Kyiv abstain from deploying long-range military capabilities. Zelenskyy clarified that no official agreement exists between Ukraine and Russia regarding the avoidance of targeting energy facilities, adding that Russia has halted the process of prisoner exchanges.
Zelenskyy further noted that Kyiv would refrain from attacking Russian energy infrastructure if Moscow ceases its assaults on Ukraine’s energy systems. However, he stressed that Ukraine and Russia remain at odds over territorial disputes, with no compromise reached.
The Ukrainian president expressed readiness to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin but ruled out Moscow or Belarus as potential locations. Meanwhile, Yuri Ushakov, an aide to the Russian president, reiterated Putin’s stance that Moscow would guarantee Zelenskyy’s security should he agree to dialogue.
