Chinese Foreign Minister Warns Global Order at Risk Amid Rising Instability

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi cautioned that the post-WWII international order is severely damaged during talks with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, urging Beijing and Moscow to uphold multilateralism.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi warned of escalating global instability during a meeting with Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu in Beijing. Wang stated that the international order established after World War II and the norms governing global relations have been severely, risking a return to ‘jungle law.’

Wang emphasized that China and Russia, as major powers and permanent UN Security Council members, bear responsibility to promote genuine multilateralism and safeguard the UN-centered international system. He added that Beijing is prepared to collaborate with Moscow to fully implement bilateral agreements and open new avenues for Sino-Russian relations in the new year.
