Afghanistan Reports Killing of 55 Pakistani Soldiers in Retaliatory Operations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Afghanistan‘s Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that 55 Pakistani soldiers were killed during retaliatory operations conducted by Afghan forces. The ministry also reported the capture of around 20 military posts and the seizure of enemy equipment.
Hamdullah Fatrat, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government, stated that in continuation of heavy and targeted attacks by the country’s forces, dozens of Pakistani soldiers were killed, approximately 20 checkpoints were captured, and a number of enemy equipment were taken as spoils of war. These assaults were carried out by the “203 Mansouri” and “201 Khalid ibn Walid” corps in the provinces of Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Kunar, Nuristan, Nangarhar, and also at the Torkham border crossing.
Fatrat further added that during these operations, dozens of light and heavy weapons, a tank, and an “International” model motorcycle were seized as spoils. Earlier, Zabihullah Mujahid, a spokesman for the Afghan government, had stated that in response to the transgressions and insubordination of the Pakistani military, a large-scale offensive operation was launched against military centers and facilities of Pakistani forces along the Durand Line.
