Trump Slams Macron Over Strait of Hormuz Stance

U.S. President Donald Trump has criticized French President Emmanuel Macron’s refusal to join American efforts regarding the Strait of Hormuz, suggesting Macron’s political future is uncertain. France has stated it will not participate in current operations to secure the vital waterway.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump responded to questions concerning French President Emmanuel Macron’s stance on the Strait of Hormuz, asserting that Macron “will not be in his position for much longer.” Trump added, “So we have to see what happens.” This statement comes after Macron indicated that France would not join current operations to open or liberate the Strait of Hormuz, as the nation is not a party to any conflict. Earlier, during a meeting of France’s defense council, Macron had clarified that his country was not involved in any conflict and therefore Paris would not participate in operations related to the Strait of Hormuz under the current circumstances.
