Hezbollah Imposes New Equation on Israel, Israeli Media Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Israeli newspaper Israel Hayom has reported that Hezbollah is actively working to establish a new “equation of pressure” against the Israeli army following recent conflicts. The objective is to wear down the Israeli military and compel a withdrawal from southern Lebanon, alongside the acceptance of Hezbollah’s conditions.
The report highlights that Hezbollah, with support from Iran and through missile and drone attacks, is pursuing its established strategy of “wearing down Israel in exchange for a ceasefire.”
Israel Hayom also pointed to the Israeli regime’s efforts to influence internal political dynamics within Lebanon to weaken Hezbollah. Tel Aviv has reportedly created opportunities to undermine the organization by fostering changes in Lebanon’s political structure and the emergence of anti-Hezbollah factions. Despite these efforts, Hezbollah maintains its demands, including a complete Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon, the release of prisoners, and a cessation of attacks, threatening continued hostilities if these are not met.
The Israeli media outlet assessed Hezbollah as retaining significant political power, stating that its strength lies not only in its military capabilities but also in its “hidden state” within Lebanon. This refers to a network of political, economic, and administrative institutions that provide support to the group.
Israel Hayom has advised Israeli decision-makers to target the civilian structures supporting Hezbollah in Lebanon as a means to weaken the group.
