Grand Ayatollah Sistani Mourns ‘Irreparable Loss’ of Ayatollah Fayadh

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani has issued a message of condolence on the demise of Ayatollah Mohammad Ishaq Fayadh, emphasizing his distinguished position and decades of scholarly endeavors at the Najaf Seminary. Ayatollah Sistani characterized the loss of Ayatollah Fayadh as a significant blow and a profound void for the Islamic world.
The message from Ayatollah Sistani stated: “With immense sorrow and regret, I received the news of the passing of my dear brother, the religious authority, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Ishaq Fayadh (may God have mercy on him).”
The message further elaborated: “The departed luminary was one of the brilliant and prominent pillars of the Najaf Seminary in recent decades, distinguished by his sincere efforts in serving knowledge and scholars through his writings, teaching, and other academic pursuits.”
Ayatollah Sistani underscored in his message: “Therefore, losing him is a heavy and heartbreaking loss, creating a great void that cannot be filled except through the grace, favor, and attention of Almighty God.”
He affirmed: “I extend my condolences on this great tragedy to the presence of Hazrat Vali-e-Asr (may our souls be sacrificed for him), the seminaries, the honorable family of the deceased, and all believers. I pray to the Almighty God to elevate his ranks in the highest paradise and to resurrect him with His saints, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his pure and immaculate family, and to grant patience and tranquility to his survivors and admirers.”
