Israeli Media Claims Beirut Attack Coordinated with Washington, US Secretary of State Involved

An Israeli newspaper has revealed that a recent Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of Beirut was conducted with prior coordination between Tel Aviv and Washington, with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly playing a key role in securing U.S. government support.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli newspaper ‘Israel Hayom’ has disclosed that the recent Israeli assault on the southern suburbs of Beirut was carried out following prior coordination between Tel Aviv and Washington. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is reported to have played a significant role in securing the U.S. government’s backing for this action.

The report suggests that Rubio persuaded President Donald Trump to support Israel’s action in response to attacks from Iran.

This claim emerges despite President Trump stating in an interview with Fox News on June 6, 2026, that he was not pleased with the Israeli attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut. He also claimed at the time that the attack was conducted without his coordination.
