The ministry also reported the destruction of 15 guided aerial bombs and one HIMARS multiple rocket launcher during the same period.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that energy and transport infrastructure connected to Ukrainian forces, as well as drone launch sites, were targeted. In addition, 1,440 Ukrainian servicemen were reported killed during this timeframe.
The Ministry of Defense also noted advancements by Russian forces in Konstantinovka. It is worth recalling that Russian President Vladimir Putin, on February 21, 2022, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region, criticizing the West’s disregard for Moscow’s security concerns. Three days later, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, President Putin launched a military operation, which he termed a “special operation,” against Ukraine, escalating the tense Moscow-Kyiv relations into a military confrontation.
In response to Russia’s actions, the United States and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and have supplied Kyiv with billions of dollars worth of weaponry and military equipment.
