Trump Claims Ending Iran Conflict Averted Global Recession, Mocks Iranian People

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, stated in an interview with Axios that if the war were to continue to appease hardliners, it could have led to a global recession. The former U.S. President further insulted the people of Iran, claiming they were a kind of primitive yet intelligent geniuses. Trump continued with his baseless claims, asserting that they would have destroyed Israel and that Israel would not exist today if he had not intervened. Trump also claimed that what is happening in Iran is a regime change. He further contended that a naval blockade drew Iran closer to the negotiation table, and a memorandum of understanding might signify Iran’s unconditional surrender. He once again labeled the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran a catastrophe. Trump claimed he negotiated from a position of strength, believing, in his misguided opinion, that Iran’s navy and air force had been destroyed. Regarding the attack on the B1 bridge in Karaj, Trump made unfounded and illogical claims, stating, “I destroyed their biggest bridge because they were late for a meeting. They said it wasn’t a very good job. That bridge was like their George Washington Bridge. I wiped it out in three minutes.” The former U.S. President reiterated that what has happened in Iran is a regime change. In another part of the interview, Trump claimed that Israel would have been destroyed if not for him. He added, “Netanyahu has a good working relationship with me, but he will tell you himself that the main weapons are with us.” Trump also continued his assertions, stating, “We have the whole agreement, and the B-2 bombers and other equipment belong to us.” The former U.S. President made unfounded claims in another segment of the interview, stating, “If we had continued our attacks without sending ground troops—which, of course, there’s no desire to send ground troops, right?—what would have been the result? Their commanders and officials would flee into the depths of granite bunkers that are very strong. After our attacks ended, they would come out of these caves again, and possibly the same former leaders would take over. In that case, we would have faced a complete blockage of the Strait of Hormuz right now, a strait that would have been mined extensively, and missiles would have flown over our multi-billion dollar ships. These ships would never dare to hoist sails and move again, and as a result, we would have had no oil for months.” The former U.S. President, in his contradictory statements, claimed that he had destroyed Iran’s air force and navy within a week. He claimed that ship traffic through the Strait of Hormuz had reached unprecedented levels. Trump added, “If we don’t reach an agreement with Iran, we will do things that will not be pleasant for them, but I don’t think we will end up doing that.”
