Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretary-General Welcomes Iran-US Understanding

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Norlan Yermakbayev, met with the Ambassador of Iran to China, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli. During the meeting, Yermakbayev informed Rahmani Fazli of the SCO’s readiness to hold major events during Kyrgyzstan’s presidency and acknowledged the progress of Iran’s initiatives in various fields within the organization.

Yermakbayev also thanked Rahmani Fazli for Iran’s invitation to attend the mourning ceremony for the martyred leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and expressed his willingness to travel to Iran.

Rahmani Fazli, in turn, expressed gratitude to the SCO for its continuous support and attention to issues of interest to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both sides also emphasized their mutual interest in further strengthening practical cooperation within the framework of the organization.
