Trump Alleges Iran Violated Ceasefire by Attacking Ships in Strait of Hormuz

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed Iran violated a ceasefire agreement by firing drones at commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. The incident, according to Trump, involved an attack on a large cargo ship.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al Hadath, former U.S. President Donald Trump has asserted that Iran has breached a ceasefire agreement. Trump made these claims via his social media platform, Truth Social.

He alleged that Iran launched at least four drones toward ships traversing the Strait of Hormuz. Trump stated that one of the drones struck the upper deck of a large and valuable cargo vessel, causing damage. The ship, however, continued its journey. He further claimed that U.S. forces intercepted and destroyed three other drones.

“It is clear that this is an irresponsible violation of our agreement for a ceasefire,” Trump stated in his post.

The incident raises concerns about maritime security in a vital global shipping lane.
