Israeli Forces Conduct Raids in Syria’s Quneitra and Daraa Provinces

Israeli military vehicles and drones entered towns in Syria’s Quneitra and Daraa provinces, conducting searches of homes and detaining residents, according to reports from Syrian state media.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syrian state news agency reported that Israeli army soldiers, comprised of eight military vehicles and one tank, advanced from the Tel Abu al-Ghaytar point towards the Wadi al-Raqqad region on the administrative border between Quneitra and Daraa provinces. They subsequently entered the town of Jumlah in the western countryside of Daraa (southern Syria) and were stationed in its neighborhoods.

The agency added that drones were observed flying over the area during the operation of house raids and searches conducted by the Israeli soldiers.

Prior to this, an Israeli army patrol consisting of seven vehicles had infiltrated the village of Maar’a in the western Daraa countryside, searched several homes, and stopped and interrogated passersby.

Additionally, another group of regime soldiers, comprising four military vehicles, infiltrated the village of Ain Ziwan in the southern Quneitra countryside, raided a house, and detained one of its residents for several hours.

These developments coincide with ongoing Israeli aggression within Syrian territory, which has intensified in recent months. This has included raids and searches of civilian homes, the establishment of roadblocks, and arrests involving civilians, including farmers and children.

Following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s rule in Syria on December 8, 2024, Tel Aviv, amid the silence of the new ruling authority in the country, has occupied significant strategic areas of Syrian territory in addition to bombarding army heavy equipment in various regions.
