Macron Unaware of Damascus Blasts During Syria Visit

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Elysée Palace has stated that French President Emmanuel Macron was unaware of explosions that occurred minutes before his arrival in Damascus during his visit to Syria. Reports indicate that the French President, while en route to the presidential palace, did not hear the detonations.
Elysée Palace further clarified that Macron’s planned engagements for the visit will continue as scheduled, despite the reported explosions.
Two explosions were reported earlier near the headquarters of the Syrian Ministry of Tourism in Damascus. It was also emphasized that these blasts took place in proximity to the location where French President Emmanuel Macron was staying in Damascus. Macron had arrived in Syria the previous day.
Reuters also reported on the occurrence of explosions in Damascus.
Meanwhile, Syrian outlet Al-Akhbariya reported that Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, the self-proclaimed president of Syria, welcomed Macron at the presidential palace amidst the sounds of these explosions.
