Erdogan Discusses Iran-US Relations and Regional Peace with Trump

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Tuesday his commitment to fostering constructive relations between Iran and the United States, aiming to contribute to global peace. Speaking during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, Erdogan expressed his optimism regarding efforts to guide Iran-U.S. ties toward a more productive direction.
President Erdogan highlighted that he would be discussing avenues for achieving peace in the region with President Trump. He also mentioned a prior commitment regarding five aircraft, noting that President Trump had spoken on the matter and expressing optimism about its resolution.
Furthermore, Erdogan indicated his intention to discuss developments related to the war in Ukraine with President Trump. The Turkish President emphasized his dedication to exerting all possible efforts to aid global peace.
President Trump was in Ankara to participate in a NATO summit.
