The death toll from a devastating earthquake in Venezuela has risen to 4,333, with over 16,700 injured, according to official figures released by the Venezuelan Parliament.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the death toll from a devastating earthquake in Venezuela has surged past 4,300, with the number of injured reaching 16,740. Jorge Rodríguez, President of the Venezuelan Parliament, announced the latest official figures following the powerful tremor on June 24.

The 7.5 magnitude earthquake, one of the most significant in recent years for the region, has caused extensive infrastructural damage. Reports indicate that 190 buildings were completely destroyed, and an additional 856 units sustained serious damage. Government data shows that 17,345 individuals have been displaced so far.

The Venezuelan government has been managing relief efforts for over 86,000 families, distributing more than 9,500 tons of food supplies. During search and rescue operations, emergency personnel successfully extracted 6,462 people from under the rubble. A total of 23,820 injured individuals are currently receiving medical care in treatment centers.

This earthquake has been documented as one of the deadliest natural disasters to strike the region in recent times.
