Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Claims Destruction of US Drone Base in Jordan

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the destruction of MQ-9 drone hangars and command centers at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan using ballistic missiles, presenting it as a response to alleged U.S. provocations.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement asserting that its aerospace forces targeted U.S. military bases. The statement detailed that in the initial phase of retaliation, critical military infrastructure and facilities at the Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan were struck. The IRGC claimed that the base’s command and control center and its MQ-9 drone hangars were devastated by several ballistic missiles.

The IRGC statement, titled “In the Name of God, the Subduer of Tyrants,” also referenced a Quranic verse and accused the “criminal U.S. regime” of attempting to create an incident in the southern Strait of Hormuz by instigating several naval craft. It asserted that this provocation was decisively halted by the naval force. The IRGC further alleged that the “child-killing U.S. military” launched an air attack on several coastal bases and telecommunication towers on the southern coast to compensate for this perceived failure, stating that a powerful response was immediately delivered.

The statement warned that continued transgressions by the “oath-breaking America” would lead to more severe responses. It concluded with another Quranic verse, “Victory comes only from God, the Almighty, the Wise.” The IRGC reiterated its commitment to retaliation for any further American aggressions.
