France Evacuates Over 141,000 Amid Widespread Forest Fires

More than 141,000 people have been evacuated from risk areas in France due to severe forest fires, with military forces deployed to combat the escalating blazes.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing RIA Novosti, over 141,000 individuals have been evacuated from vulnerable regions in France following the outbreak of widespread forest fires.

French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu stated that the nation’s military forces have been mobilized to confront the formidable fires gripping the country.

Local authorities reported that residents in the suburbs of Bordeaux are rapidly evacuating their homes as the flames advance. President Emmanuel Macron, after seeking assistance from the European Union, has ordered the French army to intervene and help contain the forest fires.

A local official warned that the fires are currently moving towards the city of Bordeaux.
