According to the report of the international group of Fars news agency, the governor of Ishikawa state in Japan announced on Wednesday that the death toll of the 7.6 magnitude earthquake on January 1 in this region has increased to 232 people.

According to him, 21 people are still missing and 1036 people have been injured. People are still living in emergency shelters.

 

According to the statistics of the organization Seismology of Japan, since the first day of January, 1200 earthquakes have occurred in Japan, and the strongest one that caused the most damage was 7.6 on the Richter scale. This is the largest earthquake on the west coast of Japan since 1885.

The earthquake caused damage and total destruction of 21,400 buildings, of which 7,800 buildings are still without electricity.
