South Korean President Rejects Trump’s Request on Iran Nuclear Deal

South Korean President has declined a request from U.S. President Donald Trump to join efforts aimed at denuclearizing Iran. This comes as Trump expresses satisfaction with a new defense pact signed by Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump stated his pleasure at meeting with Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, noting their recent signing of the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement. He described the pact as a significant step towards greater regional cohesion and a demonstration of the participating nations’ self-defense capabilities.

Trump characterized the agreement between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey as a bold, large, and important move. In a separate development, the U.S. President announced that he has instructed his Secretary of Defense to significantly reduce the scale of joint military exercises with South Korea.

Furthermore, Trump revealed that he had inquired whether the President of South Korea would be willing to participate in U.S. efforts to disarm Iran of nuclear weapons, to which the response was negative.
