Trump Claims Former White House Press Secretary Prioritized Her Children Over Him

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, as reported by Al Jazeera via Al-Alam News Network, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Sunday that former White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt prioritized her children over him, stating, “I realized Karoline Leavitt loved her children more than Trump. This worried me greatly.”
When pressed by a reporter about a potential replacement for Leavitt, the U.S. President deflected the question.
This comes amid previous criticism from former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki, who served during the Biden administration. Psaki had stated that Leavitt, her counterpart in the Trump administration, rarely faced challenging questions in press briefings and showed no willingness for good-faith engagement or dialogue.
Speaking on “MS NOW” (formerly known as MSNBC), where she was employed after her tenure as Biden’s press secretary in 2021 and 2022, Psaki remarked, “The relationship between the press and the White House must inherently be a challenging and confrontational one. I mean, the job of the reporters in the room is to push for more access and more information. Karoline Leavitt did not want to engage in good faith with reporters and their difficult questions. Instead, she did everything she could to turn that press briefing room into her personal safe space, where she rarely, perhaps almost never, had to answer a difficult question. That is, she held press conferences at most once or twice a week. The issue was the narrative of the version of truth that serial liar residing in the Oval Office (Trump) intended. She never saw her job as serving the American people as a public servant. Leavitt’s performance damaged the standing of this role.”
