Yemeni Armed Forces Detail Military Gains, Issue Warning to Riyadh

Yemen’s Armed Forces spokesperson, Yahya Saree, outlined significant military achievements from July 20 to August 19, emphasizing new strategic principles and issuing a stern warning to Saudi Arabia regarding escalation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Yemen‘s Armed Forces spokesperson, Yahya Saree, has detailed the accomplishments of the Yemeni armed forces from July 20 to August 19, stating that they have reached a level of power that allows them to dictate terms and have established three key principles.

The first principle is ‘blockade for blockade,’ wherein the Yemeni forces have implemented a strong and effective blockade, preventing even a single ship from passing for the enemy. The second principle involves targeting Saudi forces’ gathering points wherever they may be. The third principle is the protection of Yemen’s sovereignty and confronting any enemy aggression.

Saree explained that in accordance with the ‘blockade for blockade’ principle, since the announcement of the maritime embargo against the Saudi enemy on July 20 until August 19, the Yemeni armed forces have targeted eight Saudi oil tankers. Five of these were in the Red Sea, and three were in the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea.

Furthermore, the passage of 48 Saudi oil tankers was prevented, forcing them to turn back. This included 34 tankers barred from passing through the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, and 14 tankers prevented from navigating the Red Sea.

In response to Saudi Arabia’s aggression against Sanaa Airport and Hodeidah Port, and to reinforce the principle of protecting Yemeni sovereignty against violations of the country’s airspace, particularly in Saada and Hajjah provinces, the Yemeni armed forces conducted nine military operations. These operations targeted Yanbu, Najran, Jizan, Abha, and oil supply lines in the Eastern Province.

To further solidify the principle of targeting Saudi troop concentrations, the armed forces carried out fourteen military operations against enemy gathering points in Al-Ruwaiq, Al-Abr, Al-Wadiah, Marib, and Mocha. Additionally, vessels and boats carrying equipment and reinforcements for the Saudi enemy were targeted.

These operations resulted in hundreds of Saudi enemy forces, including Saudi commanders and officers, being killed or wounded. Numerous depots and equipment belonging to the Saudi forces were set ablaze and destroyed. Two military vessels carrying Saudi weapons and reinforcements were sunk and set ablaze in Mocha. More than ten warships belonging to the Saudi-led coalition, engaged in piracy, robbery, and plunder under Saudi command in the Red Sea, were set ablaze and sunk.

The Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson issued a warning to the Saudi regime against any escalation, stating that any comprehensive escalation will be met with a comprehensive response. He emphasized that the Saudi regime has no choice but to lift the blockade, implement agreements, end the aggression, pay dues, allow the withdrawal of occupiers, and return Yemen’s wealth to all Yemenis.

Saree concluded by advising fellow citizens who have been misled to return and leave the enemy camps, as they are Yemenis, and the Yemeni forces do not wish to target or sacrifice them.
