US Envoy: Israel and Turkey on Brink of Direct Military Conflict

A top US envoy revealed that the United States was narrowly inavoiding direct military conflict between Israel and Turkey, a situation exacerbated by recent Israeli airstrikes in Syria.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime’s Channel 15 television network, citing Tom Barrack, the special envoy of the US President, reported that the United States was on the verge of a direct military confrontation between Israel and Turkey.

Barrack added that Israel’s attack on the Abul Thuhur Airport in Syria serves as a warning regarding potential direct military engagement between Israel and Turkey.

This development follows a report by the American news platform Axios, which, citing US and Israeli officials, revealed that Tel Aviv had informed White House officials of its recent airstrike against the Abul Thuhur Airport in northern Syria prior to its execution.

The Israeli side has claimed that the objective of this attack was to prevent Ankara’s military movements and to halt the transfer of advanced Turkish weapon systems.

The report indicates that during the airstrike, at least eight bombs struck the runways and several aircraft hangars.

Meanwhile, a Turkish official strongly denied any Turkish military presence at Abul Thuhur Airport, stating that Israel consistently resorts to fabricating pretexts to bomb neighboring countries and destabilize the region.
