Israel Maintains Secret Communications with Turkey Amid Syrian Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli media, citing a security official, reported that Tel Aviv does not seek to make Turkey an adversary and that clandestine communication lines exist between the two sides to convey messages and avert clashes in Syria. The official, speaking to the Israeli Channel Kan, emphasized that Tel Aviv will take action if conveyed messages prove ineffective.
According to the official, Tel Aviv’s policy focuses on confronting the strengthening Turkish military presence in Syria and preventing the deployment of air defense systems, advanced missiles, and drones, which he claims could threaten Israel’s operational freedom in the region. Last week’s Israeli aggression against Syria’s Abu al-Dhuhur Airport, located 70 kilometers from the Turkish border, was reportedly carried out under the pretext of potential Turkish equipment deployment.
