Al Jazeera Correspondent Claims Pakistan Army Chief to Visit Iran for US-Iran Mediation
A correspondent for Al Jazeera has claimed, citing highly informed sources, that Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, is expected to visit Tehran in the coming days to revive mediation efforts between the United States and Iran. Iranian officials have not yet commented on the report.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al-Jazeera correspondent Ali Hashem claimed on the X platform yesterday that highly informed sources told him Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, is likely to travel to Tehran within the next one or two days. He added that the objective of this trip is to revive mediation between the United States and Iran. Iranian officials have not yet taken a stance on this matter.
