China Denies U.S. Hacking Allegations, Cites Cyber Security Commitment

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China has refuted allegations made by the U.S. Department of Justice, which claimed that hackers affiliated with the Chinese government had compromised servers belonging to American governmental institutions and organizations. This statement comes from data published by Mehr News Agency, citing RT.

A spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington stated that they have no knowledge of the attacks mentioned by the U.S. government and emphasized that China has always been a proponent of cybersecurity. The spokesperson further asserted that the Chinese government firmly opposes cyberattacks in any form and combats them in accordance with the law. They urged the American side to cease misusing cybersecurity issues to tarnish China’s reputation and restrict Chinese companies.

The U.S. Department of Justice had previously asserted that hackers associated with China had infiltrated the networks of the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Federal Reserve, the Department of Energy, the Department of Health, and a number of other American institutions and organizations.
