IAEA Director General Grossi Describes Iran’s Nuclear Program Status as ‘Stalled’
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, stated during a press conference with Chris Wright, the U.S. Secretary of Energy, that the term ‘stalled’ accurately describes at least the nuclear aspects of Iran’s current trajectory.
Grossi emphasized the need to find a suitable, stable, long-term, and predictable resolution for Iran’s nuclear issue. He reminded that approximately 440 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 percent purity remain, with significant capabilities still in place.
In further remarks, Grossi underscored that tangible progress has been achieved in negotiations and consultations with Iran. He explained that this advancement occurred during exchanges between U.S. Special Representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and Iranian representatives. Grossi expressed confidence that areas for future cooperation have been identified, paving the way to close the case when the time is right.
