According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an oil tanker was targeted by an unknown projectile on the previous day, situated 12 nautical miles north of Khassab, Oman, as reported by the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations agency, citing Al Jazeera and Mehr News Agency.

The tanker was en route to the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz when it was hit by the projectile.

In recent weeks, similar reports of maritime incidents near the coast of Oman have emerged.

In comparable situations, the UK’s Maritime Trade Operations agency has urged vessels passing through the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.
