Trump Claims Enhanced Traffic in Strait of Hormuz, Critiques Biden’s Ukraine Aid

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump has made a new claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz, stating it is in ‘great condition’ with an increased volume of ship transits, reaching 30 vessels per night. This assertion comes amidst ongoing efforts by the United States to influence the strategic waterway, which remains under Iranian control.

Trump further alleged that China has adopted a neutral stance concerning the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. President also expressed his eagerness to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the United States in September. He suggested that President Xi has been relatively inactive regarding the Strait of Hormuz, considering the potential impact.

Continuing his rhetoric on Iran, President Trump reiterated previous statements, claiming that the country ‘really doesn’t know who its leader is.’ When questioned about the possibility of resuming attacks on Iran, he repeated his past remarks, describing Iran as a ‘failed nation’ but not ruling out potential military action, stating, ‘We’ll see what happens.’

Responding to a reporter’s inquiry about the potential 2028 presidential candidacy of his current Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, Trump commented that Hegseth is doing ‘an incredible job’ and that it is ‘too early to talk about’ such matters, adding that Hegseth is ‘a very good human being.’

Regarding the Falkland Islands, a disputed territory between Argentina and the United Kingdom, President Trump indicated that he always reviews U.S. positions on such matters, responding to a question about whether the U.S. stance would be re-examined.

In separate remarks, Trump extended an invitation to Russia to attend the G20 summit in the United States, emphasizing his success in collaborating with all nations. He also commented on the whispers of Venezuela’s potential withdrawal from OPEC, stating that the decision rests with Venezuela itself.

Furthermore, President Trump claimed that former U.S. President Joe Biden provided Ukraine with over $300 billion worth of equipment free of charge.
