Putin Pledges Essential Goods Supply to Iran Amidst Current Conditions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin met and conferred with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and SCO Plus summits. The meeting, as reported by Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera, focused on bilateral relations amidst prevailing geopolitical circumstances.
President Putin stated that Russia and Iran have preserved their economic ties despite the current military and political conditions. He emphasized the solidarity of the Russian people with Iran in defending its national interests.
Furthermore, Vladimir Putin added that Russia endeavors to assist Iran during these challenging times by ensuring the supply of essential goods it requires. The Russian President also expressed Russia’s welcome for the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States, though he characterized the ceasefire as fragile.
The Russian President highlighted that relations between Russia and Iran are experiencing steady development across all levels.
