China, Russia, Mongolia to Hold Joint Border Security Drills in September

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China‘s National Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that border troops from China, Russia, and Mongolia will participate in joint military exercises in early September. The drills, codenamed ‘Border Cooperation-2026,’ will primarily concentrate on preventing and combating reconnaissance and sabotage activities in border regions.
The exercises will include components such as joint planning, search operations, coordinated assaults, and arrest simulations, according to a statement released by the Ministry of National Defense. This event represents the second phase of the trilateral ‘Border Cooperation’ exercises involving the three countries.
The stated objective of these drills, as outlined by the Chinese Ministry of National Defense, is to further enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen border cooperation, and jointly maintain security and stability in frontier areas.
