US Military Investigates 50 Staffers Over Leaked Iran War Data

Approximately 50 members of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff are under investigation for allegedly leaking sensitive information regarding the Iran conflict to the media. The probe focuses on the disclosure of critical details concerning the depletion of U.S. military ammunition stockpiles.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, approximately 50 members of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff are reportedly being investigated for leaking information related to the Iran conflict to the media. This investigation stems from disclosures concerning reductions in the vital ammunition reserves of the U.S. military.

The inquiry follows recent reports by the American think tank, the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). CSIS had previously announced that U.S. Patriot PAC-3 MSE interceptor missile stockpiles had decreased by 65 percent since February 28, 2026, falling to approximately 759 missiles.

According to the American institution’s report, only 183 Patriot interceptor missiles are produced annually, with delivery timelines extending to about three and a half years. A more recent report from the CSIS also indicated a reduction in the THAAD system’s interceptor missile reserves, from 452 to 278 missiles.

The American think tank emphasized that rebuilding the THAAD system’s interceptor missile stockpiles will require several years. NBC News also recently revealed, citing U.S. government officials, that the U.S. military has been compelled to adopt a policy of “selective firing” against Iranian missiles and drones due to the rapid depletion of its air defense reserves.
