Israeli Defense Minister Threatens Full-Scale War Against Palestinian Authority

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has threatened to initiate a full-scale war in the West Bank. Gallant claimed that if unrest arises or preparations for an attack similar to the October 7, 2023, events are observed, a ‘full-scale war’ would be launched against the Palestinian Authority.

The newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, quoting Gallant in a statement, reported that attacks in the West Bank have reached their lowest level in recent decades and that all necessary measures will be taken to prevent their recurrence. He asserted that if unrest occurs, and if security forces and institutions affiliated with the Palestinian Authority carry out attacks, or if it is reliably known that they are on the verge of launching an attack similar to the October 7 attacks against Israeli forces and Jewish settlements, he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have ordered the army to prepare for a full-scale war against senior officials and security forces affiliated with the Palestinian Authority and its related institutions.
